Restorative justice is a framework to respond to unwanted behaviours which does not focus on punishment and social exclusion of a person, but instead focusing to righting the wrongs, trying as much as possible to restore the condition before the unwanted behaviour was done and if possible, address the larger cause of problem.
An example of restorative justice efforts done outside the court via online is when Dan Harmon (the creator of Rick and Morty) made unwanted advances to Megan Ganz, one of his employee and fires her when she rejected him. Ganz spoke out about her treatment publicly, but then accepted an offer of a dialogue with Harmon. After that Harmon publicly apologized and promises to be better, and Ganz accepted an offer to be readmitted into his company. They now co-host a podcast discussing the various sexism and racism issues in the comedy industry.
